Gothic Makeup FUN times!!

With the inevitable arrival of my 21st birthday, I had been thinking about what I'm going to do to celebrate. I decided I want to go to a goth club- then I checked the day my birthday falls on and it's a SUNDAY. BOOOO. So lame! I said I'll just go out Saturday night, stay out till midnight, and then I can drink! That way if I had a hangover or something, I wouldn't have to suffer through it at school on Monday. Though, I'm not planning on getting piss drunk- just a couple of drinks!! XDD

Anyway, with that decision, I've been lusting after a new wig that I paired with an outfit in my head.

I actually haven't gotten that wig, so Wednesday night when I was bored with nothing to do, I just decided to dress up and give the makeup a go as a blonde!!

Look #1

I had this idea that it would look cool with these clip-in bangs I have. I think I like how it looked better in person than in photos. Plus, with two sets of bangs, they're really prone to getting messed up. I felt like I was constantly fixing/ adjusting them! 8x

I wasn't too happy with the way I drew on my eyebrows, so I decided to redo the look yesterday with proper eyebrows!

I actually ended up with an entirely different look- no contacts, different eyeliner shape, heavier eyeshadow, different lashes on the bottom, etc.

I definitely liked this look better!!

Look #2, Outfit #1-

Pre wig!!:

Top Lashes are "Angel Eye", bottom are "Gorgeous Eye" by Diamond Lash.

Plus piercing and outfit= AWWW YEAAHH~~ okanmuri

Minus the hat, and I still am extremely satisfied with the look!

Look #2, Outfit #2-

I wish I had a long and drapey, gauze type top for this! :c

The top is like a vintage velvet, patterned 'leotard' thing from my mum. She says it's not actually a leotard because that's just how they made tops back then with buttons down there so that your top didn't ride up (cause you know how they always used to tuck their shirts into their pants back in the day... lol).

While I was taking pictures for that outfit, I thought, 'Why don't any goth people dress up in gothic lolita style?? Like, there are some, but I don't think I've ever seen anyone with that type of makeup style... It's always toned down (at least, I can't think of any pictures). The Mana, MMM type lolis are close, but it's not the same...

SO, I decided to go for it. If it's 'gothic' lolita, why can't we have this style of makeup??

Look #2, Outfit #3-

Wearing my VR coord, which I still have yet to improve/ add more stuff.

I actually like the outfit A LOT better. I feel like it's complete! I dunno, it's like with the PMX version (black wig +dark makeup, lace rose socks), I still felt so plain even though lots of people complimented the outfit. And with this version I genuinely felt like I felt 100% comfortable/fulfilled, and that the outfit was complete. I think it's because I feel like the dark aesthetic is carried out throughout the whole outfit- plus I just feel 100% more comfortable in dark looks.

If anything, I would probably add in some vampire fangs, and rose patterned stockings underneath the ripped stockings (Last time I went to Forever21, they had a pair!!)

I'll DEFINITELY be wearing this look with this coordinate out to an event!! >8D

All in all- I'm really happy with the makeup. Another thing I thought while I was wearing the 2nd outfit was, if I could wear outfits like this everyday, with this makeup, and this wig, AND get a job that allowed me to walk around like that... I'd shave off my eyebrows again sooo fast!! I honestly felt really happy with the way I looked, and I'm glad I'm heading off in that direction style wise. :]

3 Lolita outfits in 1 day.

On saturday, my sister told me about the Kawaii.i contest, and sort of hinted that I should enter an outfit, so I laid out 3 outfits onto my bed, got dressed up, and made a serious fucking mess trying to find an empty area big enough to take photos.

SERIOUSLY- I was so pissed walking around in the dolly kei esque coord, cussing up a storm cause there was/is seriously NO empty wall in my house that I could stand against to take photos. So I had to clean my room slightly before (I HATE having to clean my room before I take pictures), and then move my hamper, my portfolio with all my art stuff in it which weighs a bloody ton, take off all my bags off of my bag holder, and then we put together a set. There was pretty much no walking area/ empty floor in my room. LOL

Along with all the bags and my portfolio, I had a pile of clothes that I threw on the floor from my bed to make room for the outfit planning, my exercise ball, and all of the other stuff that regularly occupies my floor, which includes more art supplies, pillows to sit on when I'm playing video games or do anything on the floor, and other shit. So, throughout the whole time, there was a lot of tripping going on. haha

Outfit 1: The dolly-kei esque coord.

This is the only time that I've actually enjoyed the warm cast the lighting in my room gives off. Normally, I hate it, because it makes me look a lot more tan than I actually am, but in these it actually suits the theme well, I think.

The headdress kept on falling forward onto my face, which was very frustrating- Aaaand she caught me flustered putting it back on my head. I occasionally laugh when I'm frustrated. First smiling photo on my blog??? hahahahaha

Makeup post!!

I'm trying to do as much as I can with these contacts before they expire next month. D;

I had stopped wearing them early December '10 because they really started irritating my eyes after an event. After that I had been only been able to wear them for a couple of hours before they made my eyes really veiny and bloodshot. I told my eye doctor about this when I went recently and I said that my suspicion was that it was because of my allergies (I'm allergic to dust and pollen- yeah, sucks to be me in spring. 8p). He told me to try again, but I got some rewetting drops, and everything is all better now!!!

So, here is some makeup I tried out- I tried to to a look like this girl's makeup I saw on tumblr. hehe

Best Christmas present EVER- Dir en grey at H.O.B. Sunset Blvd (12/23/11)

First of all, Happy New Year everyone!!

Gained some new followers lately and I want to take the time to thank EVERYYONE-followers, new and old, readers, and viewers for their continued support! Although it might be just a glance at my blog, I'm happy that I'm posting interesting stuff that people might want to look at and read! <3

Onto the main focus of this entry, as some of you may know, December 23rd was Dir en grey's final show of the Age Quod Agis tour.

As soon as I found out the dates of the tour, I knew I had to go. For one, I missed out on seeing them in 2010 at Club Nokia with Apocalyptica. The main reason, however, was because I really, REALLY love Dum Spiro Spero. I bought my ticket right away, and considered it to be "My Christmas present for myself from me" lol. I was really looking forward to getting wrecked before Christmas, and fully prepared to go to the family gathering with ringing ears and an absent voice.

Sadly, neither of which were present, but I still had a GREAT time.

I was fortunate enough to be able to get a ride with my friend Omy (whom I went with along with her sister to D'espairsray), and we left my house around 2pm, hitting the usual 405 North bumper-to-bumper traffic from Inglewood allllllll the way into the West L.A. area, finally getting to the House of Blues a bit past 3pm.

I'd say around 5, it started getting cold (for us Southern Californians). I had checked the weather the day before, and I think it said the low for the night was going to be 49*F. When 6 o'clock came around, we took advantage of the restaurant and the food and warmth and went in to eat. Once we finished eating we got into the pre-line, and after an hour or so of waiting, the line finally started moving as they let people in.
Omy and I headed for the balcony because neither of us were really concerned about getting close to the stage, and neither of us wanted to get trampled and sweaty. We both are small, and even with her heels and my platforms, we were still small, and decided not to risk getting squashed. I swear, when I saw Dir en grey back in '08 at their last time at Wiltern, I spent the whole show unable to see, move, and was breathing disgusting, stale air. I thought I was going to pass out, because it was so hot, and I couldn't breath any fresh air. I was able to stay vertical with no feet on the ground I was that squashed. XD

ANYWAY- so after that, I made a pledge that I wasn't going to get in that situation again if I didn't have to, so, like the last time Diru played at the H.O.B., UP TO THE BALCONY I WENT!!! I actually really like it up there- I like people watching, and you can see everyone up there/ I can be a creep and stare at everybody, the view of the stage actually isn't bad at all, and the acoustics are still great as well!

The show finally started around 9 ish, we were expecting an opening band because we had heard there was one for a couple of the previous shows. The curtains went up, and I immediately see just Shinya's drum set, and thought: "uh, there's no room for another bands drums, and those are surely Shinya's drums", cause you know, Shinya has a pretty extensive set, and then the guys start coming out and I along with everyone else started screaming. I for sure was like 'FUCK YEAHHH!!! NO OPENING BAND!!' LOL. And they immediately get into the set.

As you can see- quite a bit from Marrow, which I for one wasn't expecting!! I went in expecting pretty much all Dum Spiro Spero, a few from Uroboros, and a couple of old songs. Definitely wasn't expecting any from Marrow- it just seems a lot more rare then old songs. Definitely enjoyed the updated versions of Grief, Repetition and Rotting in terms of Kyo's vocal capabilities. Another song I wasn't expecting was mazohyst. Omy had said while we were on our way over there that she had heard that they played mazohyst at a previous show. When it started, I think I didn't recognize it till about midway, to which I was all: "OOOOOHHHHH!!! IT'S MAZOHYST!!!" LOL!!

During the break before the encore, these dudes were yelling out stupid shit like, "MEXICAN FOOD!!" hahahahahaha

Sometime during the show, Kaoru looked up into the balcony at us, and was like "YEAAAHH!!!" and we're all like YEAAHH!!!! It's nice to be acknowledged. X3

I like how you can actually make out Kyo's tattoos, despite how far away I was. HOORAY FOR ZOOM IN!!

I was so sad when Kyo was saying 'Last Song! Last Song! Last Song!', but Rasetsukoku is definitely an AWWWEESSSOOOMMEEE last song because of it's power and energy.

Kyo flipped over his stand and decided to climb on top of it. XD
He was standing there like that for a while making sure it was stable enough for him to stand up straight, meanwhile I'm biting my nails (figuratively) praying he won't fall and injure himself, nailing himself on one of the steel corners or some shit.

It's safe, and he stands!! YAAAYYYY!!!
He did dismount weird though- I don't know if he purposely fell flat on his stomach, or if the thing shifted on him. 8p

But he gets up okay and starts emptying all his leftover water bottles on the crowd.

Toshiya throwing his Heineken into the crowd. It got on Omy's sister, and she was saying she smelt like beer after we got out. XD

Then they started throwing stuff- Kaoru nearly got a pick up into the balcony towards us, but as far as having an arm goes, I think Die has the best fling because in all these times that I have seen them, he has consistently been able to get his picks out real far!!

A friend of Omy's sister who joined us when we lined up actually got one of Shinya's drum covers! It was signed, had a Santa drawing and I'm pretty sure it said Merry Christmas!! 8DD So cute!!

After Kyo, Kaoru, Toshi, and Shinya left the stage, Die threw out his last picks and had himself a celebratory glass of wine!!

I swear when he finished I thought he was going to throw the glass into the crowd. XDDDD

I don't know, it was a stupid thought. ROFL.

We left after hanging outside for a bit -

-We stopped at 7 Eleven, and then headed home.

All in all, a SUPER fun, rockin' night!!!

Rune Boutique @ Royal/T, Culver City, CA! 12/9/11

Hey everyone!!

I'm taking a break in between studying for my final on Monday to make a post about yesterday's event at Royal/T here in L.A., specifically Culver City, which you may have heard about... the:

"Rune Boutique
World Debut Party
Roots of Kawaii"

As far as promoting goes, I know TokyoFashion.com did some on their main website, as well as a good amount on their Tumblr as well, the event organizers, and even Kyary herself did some promoting!
I also know that Yuka and Vani of 6%DokiDoki went around Hollywood to places like Meltdown Comics and Amoeba to drop off flyers, so this was definitely one of those events that was expected to get a buttload of people- and it did!!!

The rest under the cut, cause lots of big pictures!!

I started getting ready around.... maybe 3pm? The event was open to the public around 8pm, but we were on the VIP list, so we could get in at 6pm to get to the VIP party! So 3 hours to get myself AND Midori ready was the perfect amount of time, if not then cutting it a bit short. XD
I finished within a good amount of time, but Midori took FOREVER to get to my house because of traffic. I told her to leave a 2:30, but she insisted on 3:30- so she hit AAALLLL the traffic that is always around that time through ~5pm. She finally got to my place around 4:30, and then I had to start getting her ready.
We left around 6:30- and got there around 7pm.... XD
As I said before- there was a lot of people- in fact, there was a HUGE ASS line outside for all the regular attendees! I think it went from Royal/T's doors, the whole right side of Royal/T and then some! So we're just like- AHH- get to the front and get in!! Luckily, we got there just in time to see the start of all the VIP events, and we got our swag bags! The swag bag was/is a plastic purple Rune Boutique bag, which included an event T-shirt, A big Rune Boutiqe pin, TokyoFashion.com pin, Mighty Harajuku pin, a heart shaped 6%DokiDoki pin, a sample of Sugarpill eyeshadow, a Rune Naito postcard, those squishy, 3-Demensional stickers from Rune Boutique with all of the characters- Candy, Beauty, Savon, and Drugs, a Bubble Punch sticker, as well as fliers from Bubble Punch, the event, and 6%DokiDoki.

So as soon as we got in, Andi rushed us to the back where they were just starting the event with an introduction. After a few minutes Kyary came on and started performing!
She sang "PONPONPON" and her new song "Tsukema Tsukeru"

After the two songs she got off stage for the fashion show!
While we were waiting for the fashion show to start, I started singing the lyrics of Tsukema Tsukeru:
"Tsukema Tsukema Tsukema Tsuke~" like Kyary, and this Japanese woman in front of me turns around and says "Good!!" XDD
I actually didn't like this song at first, but after last night, I now love it. HAHA- And I just learned the lyrics after she sang it last night. XD
A bit later, the fashion show started, and a new Men's Line from 6%DokiDoki was introduced!!

After the boys did their thing, Vani came out and kicked of the Women's Line!

After the events were done, we went to the front and took some pictures!
So my outfit was a take on the "Drugs" character, and Midori (now "Hakuei", and now male) was the manager.

We can only be serious for so long. XDD

I told Anya and Midori that these are gonna be our Christmas cards that we will send to everyone.

Then we got in line to take a picture with Yuka, Vani, and Kyary- while we were waiting, there was this shit faced dude ahead of us talking to this Japanese mom in front of us. I think she was just being polite by talking to him, but was actually annoyed by him. After a bit, her kids and her friends came up from I guess walking around, and the woman said to the guy "These are my kids!"One of the kids says: "DARE?" (Who's this??)
I STARTED CRACKING UPP!!!!!! OMG. I think it was the tone, delivery and formality that did it- so casual and just like a kid- even though they didn't say it, I totally imagined them thinking 'Who the f is this dude?!' HAHAHAHA.
That was my favorite part of the whole night!!
We ended up not getting a picture by ourselves with Kyary, but we did get to jump in the last one they took!

After all the General admit people came in (I heard that the line went around the block!), they started the fashion show again. This time around, we were in the back and couldn't see shit. LOL. Also afterwards, they had a dance party on stage with all the models, Yuka and Vani, Kyary, and members of the audience!

Then Kyary performed a second time, singing the same songs- 'PONPONPON' and 'Tsukema Tsukeru'. In between the two songs, she said she wanted everyone to do the eyelash/blinking movements during the chorus.

After that, Michelle and Yume announced the Fashion contest, and told everyone that wanted to compete to get a number. While waiting for the contest to start, we went to the front of the cafe to cool of from all that body heat, and grab some eyeliner from Andi so I could draw on "Hakuei's Manager-san mustache". XD

HAHAHA- It was funny because she was freaking out while I was drawing it on, because all the people walking by were staring, and I was saying they were staring because they were interested in what we were doing, and that she could trust me because I'm an artist. LOL. Which is true- my mustache was not crooked! I've had plenty of fine line painting practice from painting and makeup! XD

So, we didn't win, but my friend Marie and her partner won third place, and Julie and Ari won 1st place!! YAYYY!! Congrats!!

We went home around 11:30- all in all, a fun night!!

I'm pretty happy with my blending- this was the first time I actually did that using more than one color, and I think it's not too shabby! I'm kind of disappointed I didn't get to put on any false eyelashes cause I was busy taking care of Midori. hahahahaha.
Hair wise, I wish it stayed up more I sprayed it with hairspray and poofed it out a bit, but I know the cause of it's demise was definitely the heat. It was pretty epic looking before we left. HAHA.

PMX 2011 Day 1-3

I had been counting down till PMX weekend for months. PMX is one of my favorite cons because it it's size, it's location (I live like 5 minutes away from the LAX Hilton!), but also because of it's guests! Despite it's small size, PMX is pretty consistent in delivering awesome guests.

This year was no different- as soon as I heard about D, and then about the VIP packages (which I managed to snag one) , I knew I was in for a good con.

I started getting con stress the in beginning of the week when PMX came. I HAD to put together some gifts for the boys (which was definitely the most stressful- I changed my gifts like 3 times. -___-;), and get together what I was going to be wearing. I definitely knew I wanted to be gothic, so put together coordinates accordingly, and customized some shoes for Day 1- which I worked out to be 'Vampire Requiem, gothic lolita day'

Day 1, I/we (Anya and I) got up at 7am to get dressed and leave by 9am to go pick up Jackie, and get back early enough to get to the hotel while there was still hotel parking. Fortunately, everything worked out smoothly, and we were able to get a spot on the 5th floor underground (and there's 6- and yes, they fill up THAT fijorking early).

My thoughts-

em- I still think the outfit is a bit plain. I really want to do an OTT gothic, hime outfit, and I still think mine is lacking. XDD

I wanted to find some rose printed stockings/tights/whatever, but I couldn't find any, so I was stuck with what I wore, and I think they look funny. 8/

Definitely more pictures with a better version of this outfit once I find more stuff to jam on it.

More cons with the outfit- my fricking petticoat kept slipping all damn day. I need to cut that thing. DB<

And my feet were kiiiiiillllinnnnggg meee almost the whole time. I was fine when the day started, but I think standing for hours for stupid registration started the downhill roll, and the general walking a lot + stairs made it worse. I can tell you that any laid back moment we had, I would walk super slow, rest, or take off my shoes if I could so some pain could be relieved.

Sometime between the Atelier Pierrot panel and D, I lost Tsunehito's name tag on his gift. D;

I took these photo's in the panel, and it's there! But after the show it was gone, and I'm fairly positive it wasn't damaged during the show because they were placed in a spot where they wouldn't be, plus I retraced my steps in the ballroom to go find it and didn't. *le sigh*

So here are the gifts- originally I was going to draw all of them, and I had started a couple of weeks before PMX, was in a drawing rut and cursed the idea- so then it changed to rose brooches with name tags, then I canned THAT idea and decided with just the roses. I am so lame. T____T

The show was awesome, of course! D never under performs. I ended up taking off my shoes a couple songs into Dig Jelly's set, and they stayed of till the end of the show!!

I tried to put together a setlist, which isn't in the right order, but I got most off the songs. XD

I can for sure tell you that they showed the entire un-released PV 'Huandi~ Yami ni Umareta Mukui, and then jumped right into performing the song when it ended.

That PV is badass- their outfits are awesome, and they all look awesome in their suits/ tuxedos- like super yakuza boss. lol

They ended up wearing those outfits- and they looked perfect of course. The only different thing was Tsune's hair, which was styled differently than the PV.

Played songs: Huandi~ Yami ni Umareta Mukui, Guardian, Sleeper, Yami no Kuni no Alice, Hana Madoi, Taiyou wo Okuro hi, In the Name of Justice, Nightship, 7th Rose, Yami Yori Kurai no A Cappella...., and, as I like to say, the Encore song. Is there a name for that one?? lol

So yeah, don't know if that was all the songs, and they're definitely not in the right order, but that's some of them.

So after the show ended, Jackie and I headed out to get in the autograph line. Since I didn't have anything for them to sign, I just gave them their gifts. Pretty much the general response was surprise, and a grateful thank-you. When I got to Tsunehito- I repeatedly apologized and told him his name broke. He said thanks anyway, but I still felt bad. XD

All in all- they were all really cheerful and nice, and I didn't feel like any of them felt like they didn't want to be there.

Day 2-

I still wanted to something dark, so I guess it was a dark classic lolita???

Took this after I got back- no shoes, cause my feet were dead again (13+ hours, 2 days in a row wearing heels!! I'm a real woman now!! j/k). But I wore my Litas.

No after makeup- cause Tsunehito threw his water bottle- and it went alllll over my the left side of my face, and totally ruined my eye makeup! LOL. I had to quickly wipe it all off before meeting with them to get my poster signed.

Jackie was taking photos while we were waiting for the D panel, and I decided to make a stupid face. HAHAHA

The panel was hilarious! All the boys were really funny! I think they all had a really good time. Hide-Zou got to show off his "dance moves", they got to talk about what they'd do in the case of a zombie apocalypse, act out the person they were sitting next to. And, I got to ask Tsunehito where he buys his plugs and what size they are!

He said he buys them at an accessory shop in Tokyo, I think it was, and they're about pinky size (we couldn't figure out an exact size- so he said that, and I figured they're 00ga or 7/16th ga.

It's funny because in pictures, I always thought his plugs looked a lot bigger, but they're so much smaller in real life!

Although they said it was going to be a different setlist from the day before- it wasn't. XD

Well, maybe in a different order, and they added in Day by Day as final, final encore song. After that all got out and got in line for the autograph session. I find out then when Anya was like 'Woah, what happened to your face?' lol- Luckily, Jackie had lotion, and I was able to take it all off, but unfortunately, it then looked like I had no makeup on my left eye. XD
Before D got to the table, we found out that the people putting on the show (I think) had gotten Hide-Zou a cake for his birthday, and they wanted us to all sing Happy Birthday loudly for Hide-Zou so that they could present it to him, along with a giant fan made card that all of us signed. As soon as the guys got out and sat down, we all broke out into song- it was really great! And loud! Since we were first in line, I got my poster signed right after we finished singing, and Hide-Zou finished thanking us all for the birthday wishes and saying that they have no official plans yet in regards for more shows, but they really want to come back- in English! I thanked Hiroki, and Ruiza, and Asagi- who of course I called Asagi-sama! It was funny because he just casually said 'Yes!' after I said his name- like he's totally used to the honorific. XD
When I got to Tsunehito, I told him I like his plugs, and he thanked me, and I showed him mine, and he's like WOOAAHH!! COOOL!! And then I thanked him for the compliment and for the signature. Hide-Zou was at the end of the table, and since he was sitting next to Tsunehito, he saw and overheard our conversation, so the first thing he said to me was that my plugs were very cool- in English, and then I thanked him in English, and then in Japanese for the signature.

All in all- D put on an EXCELLENT show, as expected, and they all are EXTREMELY kind, warm, and friendly! I look forward to seeing them again! And I am thankful to PMX for getting them to come and play!

Day 3-
Day 3 was just a quick trip back to the Hilton. I just wanted to see the fashion show, and we ended up missing pretty much the whole thing- I think we might have caught only the last 4 minutes or something. XDD
I ended up just wearing a normal outfit.

We stuck around for a couple of hours, then left. When I got back home- I had to rearrange all my posters- now everything fits much more nicely!!

Quick Update

Wah- I'm not dead, I promise!!

Trying to power through this last week of the semester- then finals next week!

Working on finishing a couple final projects (Final exams?? Studying?? BAH- NOT FOR ARTISTS!), and a 7 page paper for Art History, which, is on Spirited Away and the traditional Japanese elements within the film (And this was an assigned prompt-I know, right?! AWESOME.).

Event wise- going to the Rune event at Royal/T this friday (12/9/11)- can't wait to see Kyary! 8D

Posting wise- I actually have a huge draft post saved of PMX weekend... just haven't gotten around to finishing it because of the lack of time/ effectively spending time. LOL

Me wise- I've gotten over hill/ slump recently- and I'm ready for a change. I think I'll do a separate post on this later because it requires more thought for me to explain (It's a bit deep, but not deep/draaaama like)- and I need to get back to my paper.

Mickey's Halloween Party (10/31/11)

So, as you all may know (if not, then here's your fill in!), yesterday I went to Disneyland for Mickey's Halloween Party!!

My original plan was to ditch my class to go... and then I think last week, I decided to check my class schedule just to see what I was missing... AND THEN I FIND OUT WE HAVE A FREAKING EXAM!! I was just like "*gasp* WHAT. THE. FUUUUCCCKKK!!!!" And my friend was like 'what?!' and then I tell her. XD

SO THEN the plan was for me to leave early with the rest of my group to get there when they open- and then an hour before my class starts, leave and drive back to Long Beach, then come back after I finished my exam. In order for that to work out, I planned to study ALL weekend and finish all my homework before sunday so I would be completely ready. THEN- my FREAKING color theory project took the WHOLE DAMN WEEKEND- So I pretty much didn't get to study at all. So then I just said whatever, I'll go to school when I usually do, then leave, and meet up with everyone there at Disneyland.

MORE change of plans, and I had to come back home, and THEN we all left. XP

There's always SO much traffic going east around 5pm- so needless to say we hit a butt load of traffic, and I think we didn't get there till like 6:20pm (they start letting people in at 3pm- but the event officially starts at 6pm).

First we went to get candy, and then I (and Jessy- but mostly me. XD (yeah, I'll take the blame. lol)) insisted we go take pictures with Jack. We get there to wear Jack's picture area is/was (Anya and I already knew where it was since we have seen the staffers set up on previous nights), and there was a huge as line!! As we were walking to the back, Jack comes out- and it was "Cool/Energetic Jack", AKA the one I've meet before!! I was super happy, because he's just so much more lively than the other Jack (Normal /calm/ poetic/ aka- now that I put thought into it- Abe Sapien (he TOTALLY sounds like David Hyde Pierce. XD)). As we got to the front of the line- he left! I was so bummed- because I knew he was switching out with the 'Abe Sapien' Jack. Sure enough, 5 minutes later, Abe Sapien Jack comes out with Sally. So, we all got pics with them, but I said I was totally gonna come back again till I got a picture with Cool Jack. lol

Jack invited our circus troupe to Halloween Town to perform because a circus has never visited before!

First I hugged both Jack and Sally, then we started talking- Jack asked me what I was, and I told him we were a circus and I was the Ringmaster.

He loved the idea, and my outfit- and asked if it was a dead circus, and I said yes, a Black, Dead Circus. Sally loved my hat, and then saw the little crow on it- and said "Jack, look at the bird on her hat!!" So I turned to show him, and he said "Oh!! How lovely! Is it a dead bird??" I said yes, and then he said:

"Good!! What good is a bird if it's not dead??"

ROFL. I think I just started laughing, and then we took some pictures.

Sorry for the bad quality! I only got one shot with them on my camera, and it came out bad, so this is the photopass picture (and they purposely make them bad quality so you have to buy them. LOL).

After that we ate cause we were all super hungry. After I finished, I went back in the line, which was thankfully super short compared to the first time, to see if I could meet Cool Jack.

After a bit, he came out again!! I got really anxious as we got to the front because it was cold, and I was shivering, plus I didn't want him to walk off again. LOL. But I got to meet him (again)!

He always talks to you like this! And Abe Sapien Jack talks to you standing tall, and all perfect posture. XD

We said our hello's, and I told him "I've met you before!!" And he was like "You have?! And I bet you loved absolutely every minute of it!!" I laughed and said 'of course!' I don't know if I laughed because it was the truth or because I thought that was just a cocky ass remark. LOL. PROBABLY BOTH. ROFLMAO.

He asked me what I was, and the photo pass photographer who had taken our pictures earlier said "that's the ringmaster!"And I told him my group was a circus and I was the ringmaster. He also loved my outfit, and complimented everything- and then we took pics. 83

After that, we met back up with Andi, Elliot and Jessy, who had gone to get into the line for Space Mountain- and on our way, we found Prince Ali/ Aladdin!

He was pretty good-looking. XD Nice smile too!!

Then we all met up and got on Space Mountain- I'm sad that it was the last day of Ghost Galaxy!! D;

(Trick or Treat trail near the Home of the Future thing. lol. I forget the official name, even though I've been in there many times since it first opened.)

Got- more candy- and when we were heading over to the area where all the Villains are, they were already packing up!! Time REALLY flew by!!

I got a picture of 'It's a Small World', which was overtaken by Maleficent's vines.

Then everyone had to head back into Mai Street and leave!! I wish it would go on longer than 6pm-11pm. We all want to go more than one day next year!

THIS IS HALLOWEEN!!!

Halloween is on Monday, and I'm going to Disneyland!!!

Up until last week, I have been stressing over my costume. Around the beginning of October, myself and some friends got tickets for Mickey's Halloween Party the day of Halloween. Originally, I was just gonna wear my kigurumi, but between then and now, I went, I think three days where they were having the Halloween Party, and I saw everyone's costumes, and I became dissatisfied with the idea of wearing JUST a kigurumi. lol

SO, Sunday I was bored and alone at home, so I decided to throw some stuff together for possible costume coordinates- and here is the result.

The idea was a 'Ringmaster of Black Circus', and so that became our theme for our costumes. XD

Sorry for such bad quality- they're kind of intentionally bad because I want the better/best photos to come from the event. TOTALLY gonna see me and Jack hanging out being chums. 8B

Not sure if I'm going to add anything else, there is definitely going to to be more intense/darker makeup, and I'm not sure on the choice of stockings and thigh-highs.

Review: Vampire Requiem VS. Vampire Requiem, and two outfits.

First of all.... one follower away from 70!! woohoo!! Thank you ALL for following, and sticking through my sloppy blogging style!! I LOVE YOUUUSSSS~~~ ;____;

Which brings me to this next point... I am in need of a new banner and layout. I will be getting to that soon, because it's kind of boring, not to mention old, and I'm getting tired of the color scheme.

ANYWAYS- ON TO THE TITLE, AND THE POINT OF THIS ENTRY.
Last month, I think, I placed an order with Taobaospree for a Dear Celine blouse and the Dream of Lolita long JSK Vampire Requiem.
When I read on EGL that DoL was making a long version of VR, I knew I wanted to get one because- 1. it's one of my dream dresses, and 2. They're hard to come by, so why not go for it? Plus, since I have the skirt, I could edit all the differences and make it better!

AATP VAMPIRE REQUIEM VS. DOL VAMPIRE REQUIEM

Big pictures under the cut!

1. Print comparisons-

In the case of DOL's black version- many people pointed out that the grey was a bit dull/ light. In my opinion, it's not bad, but it isn't perfect.
However, this isn't the case with DOL's red version. I saw some pictures of that color, and it looks pretty spot on! Granted, I don't know if it photographs the same as AATP... because here it looks really saturated and bright red, as does DOL's, but in actuality the color is a really deep red.
I know another thing that was pointed out in the discussion thread was that it looked like the clouds were missing, but as you cans see that's because it is so light, but nevertheless, it is still there.
My plan is to match the greys and sponge in some better clouds.

Also, the print on AATP's VR is seen on the inside, whereas DOL's is white on the inside.

2. Fabric comparison-
I can't say what kind of blend Alice and the Pirates Vampire Requiem fabric is, but I can say DOL's is a canvas-like, heavy cotton type fabric. Completely different than AATP's, because it isn't as heavy, it drapes/sits differently, and it does wrinkle. I think I had mine hanging for a day + when it got all the wrinkles out from being packaged. AATP doesn't wrinkle (well, at least mine never has).

3. Lace comparison-
Both are cotton lace, though as you can see, AATP's is much more complex and detailed. The best way I can describe DOL's lace is like.... fishnet stockings. It's stretchy like that, and it has that feel too.
My plan is to scrap the lace, match the real lace and put that on.

4. Corseting ribbon comparison-
AATP is a thick, heavy-duty ribbon, whereas DOL uses just a regular satin ribbon.

5. Lining comparison-

I don't know how the AATP JSK is, but as you can see the lining in the skirt is attached the top of the skirt.

The lining for the DOL JSK is sewn in where that lace the second set from the bottom is attached.

6. Other comparisons-
- I just noticed the lace where the lining is sewn in is a hell of a lot lower than the real long JSK (and can't be moved up because it is two different pieces and there is a seam there).
-The under bodice ribbon for the real JSK is grosgrain all around, whereas DOL's is a detachable grosgrain bow, and the rest is a satin ribbon (Gonna change that too).
-The under bust ribbon turns into lace in the back on the real jsk, whereas DOL's has no lace in these spots:

Outfit- which is a rough idea of what I will wear to one of the D shows. >8D

Of course there will be better hair and makeup. Hair- I think I might tease the wig out a bit... makeup, very dark and gothic.

Gothic Lolita Wigs Review #2

Recently, I ordered and received wigs from Gothic Lolita Wigs. I don't know how many of them 'like' their Facebook page, but around September 18th, they had a promo going on where, with a code, you could get a free bob with a purchase over $39.95. I had already been eyeing the 'Long Curly Lolita-Black' wig for a future Gothic coordinate, so I figured why not buy it then and get the free wig.

On Facebook, GLW was saying how you could say what style/type of bob you wanted, but in the end, the choice would be completely random/ a surprise.

I ended up writing a pretty lengthy response basically saying I wanted the short blonde bob or the deep pink, and if they didn't have that, then any of the 2-tone natural colored bobs, or the blonde x pink.

I think I got the package 2 or 3 business days later, and to my joy, I got the the blonde bob. 8D

I think I might like the bob more than the long black one! XD

Anyways, onto the pictures and the reviews!

Wig #1- Long Curly Lolita- Black

The wig is pretty much perfect (soft, bouncy, not tangly), though I think the curls are a little bit.... sporadic? By that I mean they're not uniform like how they are in the picture on the website. Granted, they would be great if you wanted to tease into like a big hair- sujimori style.

Also, there's a spot at the base of the wig where it looks like it was sewn wonky, so the wig parts, and you can see the track. Nothing major, cause you can always rearrange the wig or pin it so the spot is not visible.

Color- 5/5

I'm happy with the color, but IMO, it looks a little bit too stark for 'Natural black'. Even in naturally black hair, there is always different tints to it, and this wig is just solid black.

Tune in Tokyo: Bad Girl/Good Girl Back to School event!

Better late than never!

8/24 was Tune in Tokyo's "Bad Girl/ Good Girl event at Royal/T. The theme was seifuku, or uniforms in general.

Here was my outfit!

I had a lot of fun! My favorite part was taking this picture- I think this is seriously the best photo ever of Jessy, Midori, and myself. XDDD

So when we were looking around the store area of Royal/T, in the part there was a crocodile seesaw, and I saw this girl take a photo on it, so as soon as she got off, I said F-it, and went on it and then I said

"C'MON!! OUR DESTINATION: THE FUTUREEEE!!!!!" and then Jessy joined me, and finally Midori wanted in too. XDDD

I feel like we look like good pioneers of the future. XDDDDD

L.A. Cherry Blossom Festival (Saturday, 9/24/11)

Today I went with Anya and Jessy to the Cherry Blossom Festival in Downtown L.A.! It was originally in February, but because of money problems (I think that's what it was), it was pushed back to September 24th and 25th. We decided to go today since today was the PMX fashion show.

Originally the idea was to leave at 11am- and that's about when Jessy got to my house, but we weren't ready, so I think we ended up leaving close to 12pm after we got ready. hahaha

I wore.... I don't even know what the fuck it would be considered. XD The idea was "classic lolita", but I think it ended up looking gyaru. XD

When we got to Little Tokyo, we couldn't find where the festival was. We went back and forth to several locations where it used to be in the previous years. After asking someone, we found out it was near the Japanese American Museum, past the freaking Metro Rail Station in this freaking car lot. XDDD

I felt bad for the festival- it's so bust. I feel like it won't be long till they won't have it anymore because it seems they're running out of funds. :/

So because of that, there were hardly and vendors, entertainment, etc. We had to wait around a bit for the Fashion show- and when it finally came on..... it was an Animaid host/announcer (so, she was speaking like a maid, with maid formalities, etc.). -_____- ;

Ugh. bad. two of the outfits were actually good. The rest... Nope.

After that, we left to go walk around Little Tokyo- At Kinokuniya I bought a cellphone charm of the Elephant (Muuton) from Sentimental Circus! It also doubles as a finger puppet!!

CUTE AND ENTERTAINING! It is a very talented charm!! XD

He's so fluffy and fat! And he is palm size!

After that, we headed back to the festival because Dig Jelly (we found out they were playing when we got there and saw the schedule) was due on stage in 10minutes. They weren't quite ready, so we went and got shaved ice, because the sun was coming out of the gloom, and it was pretty warm (I know I was hot cause the black + the wig).

Hahahahah! I know lie went crazy on this thing with the flavors. It was so pretty when it was all saturated, and by the time I got my camera out to take a picture, all the syrup pretty much went to the bottom. XD

OMNOMNOMNOM.

Half way through the Dig Jelly set, I was almost done with it (I was splitting with Anya), and it was all black at the bottom.

LOLOLOL. BLACK SNOW CONE. That would be SO funny. XDD

After Dig Jelly finished, we went to go eat.

And after that we took some outfit photos!

It looks like I have big hands!! XD

We went into this store in the mall- the owner was this little obaa chan, and she had kigurumis! We went and looked at them, and Anya showed me that she had the fleece skeleton, Hello Kitty, some other characters, and Stitch!! I've wanted Stitch for sooo long!! It's my #1 in terms of dream list kigurumis. Unfortunately- it was terry cloth, and more than I could afford. So I was going for the skeleton, and the obaa chan approached me, and said "Is that for you?" and I said yes, and she wanted me to come see it in the mirror, and I did, and she said "Ohhh... perfect!!" And then I said okay, checked my money situation, and then brought it up to the register. She asks me if my wig is real, and then I say no, and she said "It's beautiful!!" Then she rings me up, folds up the kigu, puts it in a bag, and then comes from behind the register and gives it to me, thanks me, and gives me a hug! LOL I hugged her back, but I thought it was a little strange. Maybe I reminded her of a relative?

ANYWAY- PICTURES!!

I put it on as soon as I got home! And Anya said when I went and showed her that I looked extremely satisfied. I said of course, because the skeleton was one I have wanted. Now I can be Jack Skellington. >83 or "a pint size version of him." XDD TOTALLY gonna wear it to Disneyland!

THIS IS HALLOWEEN!!!

Yesterday I went to Disneyland for the first time during Halloween! I was pretty stoked all week, waiting for friday to come. I originally was going to go by myself on monday, but I ended up coming down with a cold on sunday, and didn't feel good for most of the week. Of course, I made sure I was well enough to go out on Friday!!

So here's a bunch of pictures I took!

We got to Disneyland about 11am- and as soon as we got to the main gate, we started taking a bunch of pictures. XD

After we got in the park- we instantly went over to the Haunted Mansion to get on. There was a super long line, so we got fastpasses, and then went walking around New Orleans Quarter. We went through the back, who do we see coming out? Sally! So we followed her to the front of the New Orleans train station, and Jack was there, with a pretty long wait line!!! So of course we got in line to meet them. About 4 minutes in, freaking Sally left cause "her stitches were coming undone, and Jack has to escort her back to Halloween Town, but Jack will be back". XD When he came back it was a different, shorter Jack, but he was still cool- very animated!!

We waited a bit longer and finally it was our turn!

When I got up to him- he said "Well hello!!" and I'm like "Hi!" and then I hug him- and he said "OH!!!", really surprised, "I don't get hugged very often!!" And then we have a long chat that went something like this, I don't really remember cause I was kind of too giddy (because I LOVEEE Jack Skellington, and since I was a kid I have LOVEEEDDD Nightmare Before Christmas) and nervous. XD

Plus the whole time I was busy looking at his eyes- he's got pretty green eyes underneath- and I was staring right into them, which I don't know if I was supposed to, but he was pretty close to me. LOL

Jack: *touches necklace* "I like your spiky necklace!! Do you throw spikes at people?!"

Me: "Of course!!"

Jack:" And I like your ears! Did you just get ice and stab them with a needle?!"

Me: "Uhh... something like that" *laugh*

Then he takes my autograph book and we continue talking.

Jack: "So what's your favorite part in the movie?"

Me: "The whole thing, really. But the part where you save the day, of course!"

Jack: "Oh, so not the part where I get blown up, right?"

Me: "No, of course not!"

Jack: "Yeah, but we don't talk about that. Have you been on the ride?"

Me: "Yeah!"

Jack: "So tell me, what happens in the middle?"

Me: "The middle??"

Jack: "Yes, in the middle. What's on the center of the table?"

Me" Aww man- I don't know! I haven't been on it in years!! Uhhhh........."

*meanwhile he's staring at me intently.* so much pressure. XD

My sister: "The gingerbread house!!"

Me: "The gingerbread house? Ok, the gingerbread house."

Jack: "WHAT?! YOU CAN'T JUST HELP YOUR FRIEND! I'M NOT REGIS!!"

and I start laughing, and then he finally says let's take a picture-

When my sister goes up to talk to him, some people were taking pictures on the side, and Jack yelled at them!

"HEY!!! STOP TAKING PICTURES!! THIS ISN'T A ZOO!!! GET IN LINE LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE!!! YOU'RE THROWING ME OFF MY GAME!!"

After my sister meets him, and we're leaving, she says have "have a spooktacular day!!" To which he replies, "Have a terrible day!!!" LOL. You know how they do that in Halloween Town. XDD

And then my sister was like "How could you not know it was a gingerbread house?! Didn't you see it on Facebook??!!" And I'm like- "Noooo....." And I was sad that Jack said he doesn't get hugged, so we both vowed every time we see him from then on to hug him!!

600 lbs/ 272.7 kgs. of gingerbread dough! For real! It smells wonderful during that part of the ride!! Just like gingerbread. mmmmmm..... *_____*

After that we went on Space Mountain- Ghost Galaxy- which was another first!!!

IT. WAS. AWEEEESOMMMMEEEEEE~~~~~!!!!

I can definitely see how that could be scary for kids! They have a warning side when you are walking towards the line, by the Space Mountain sign saying that it might be scary for kids. It's darker, colder, and that freaking phantom is following you the whole ride trying to snatch you out of the ride!! XD

I seriously had goosebumps the whole time. 8O

CA Adventure- finally tried the root bear floats you can get on the boardwalk! They're delicious (of course!) and HUGE.

A Wonder Story

In case you guys already didn't know, I'm a HUUUUGGEEEEE Alice in Wonderland fan/fanatic. So when I saw the Kera scans for Angelic Pretty's Wonder Story, I knew I HAD to get it.

The only problems I had was deciding on which style and color I wanted. It was really only between the skirt version and the collar JSK version because I thought the other style JSK was fug. XD

At first, I really just wanted the wine/red collar version, cause I have red tea parties, and other red stuff. But then I said no because I'd be getting myself stuck in a red only lolita wardrobe. I already have the red Pastel ala Mode JSK, red Vampire Requiem and other red stuff, so I decided to get the sax. It's a lot more Alice like, it would get me more into the sweeter looking styles, AND I felt it would match perfectly with my sax Glitter Trump headbow (my first piece of lolita brand). As soon as AP San Fran posted them on their website, I bought it (and then faced the style dilemma-I reallllyyy like the apron style, but it was the collar that won me over. 83), and got it in about 4 business days.

Sure enough, it did go perfectly with the headbow~

On friday I put together a coordinate- I tried to make it OTT, but I need some more stuff (sewing time!)!!

The "Malice Mizer Army” and other ‘dark' things

Finally! Here’s my outfit for the ‘Regimental’ meme for this month for everyday_vk. I meant to do it yesterday, but after the Master Chef season finale (YES, I HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING THE SHOW THIS ENTIRE SEASON), and after picking up Midori from the airport, I decided to put it off until tomorrow/today, so I could have plenty of time to get myself together, and I wouldn’t feel like I was bothering anyone late at night walking around, and otherwise making a bit of noise. 83

So my idea was to definitely do something very dark, and definitely black, because of sister’s hat she never wears. Inspiration came pretty much from Malice Mizer (hence the 'Malice Mizer Army’), but also Kozi again makeup wise.

So, here are the results!

I actually wasn’t going to wear the gloves- but my girly pink nails made me add them. XD

Here’s an everyday outfit I wore a couple of weeks ago (the one I promised I would show in the last post because it would fit in this post more than the last).

I was trying out some suji, which worked very well, only it was so hot outside/in my room (with window open and fan cranked high), my hair pretty much looked like shit before I was able to take pictures after re-charging my camera, AFTER it took a dump on my while I was trying to take photos (GEEZ- I feel like that makes no sense). 8P

and then I screwed around on Photo Booth.

That spot on my right eye is a strand of hair. 8P

The Inner Girl

When I was young, I was the girl that played with the boys, liked roughhousing, played with dinosaurs, and all around physical kid that didn’t care if what I did resulted in physical pain. I didn’t like to paint my nails girly colors because I thought it didn’t suit me at all, I never wore skirts, let alone dresses- I was the all around tomboy.

It’s been this way since then, though now I can definitely see that I am becoming more female in ways that I like, and in other ways that I’d care not to. ex. (Do I feel comfortable talking about this? YES. IT’S 100% NORMAL) stronger PMS symptoms. I swear I am never emotional, and now all of a sudden when it’s getting around that time of the month, I watch an "emotional scene” (just recently, GLEE- the wedding scene) and I get all teary. WHAT. THE. ACTUAL. FUCK. And I’m eating my comfort food- Peanut butter for me- and when it’s that time(now) Peanut butter +bananas. OH GEEZ. Rarely got cramps- get them more frequently now...etc.etc. *rambling*

But on the side that I do not mind- painting my nails. Recently I have gotten really addicted to painting my nails. No lie, LOTS AND LOTS OF GLITTER. I still want to buy lots of more polish with MORE glitter, and I already have quite a few.

So here’s what I have right now~

Coats on top of coats, on top of COATS of glittery nail polish. MY INNER GIRLY GIRL HAS BEEN REALEASEDDDDD!!!! I swear afterwards I was just sitting there after I painted them just admiring/ captivated by their sparkly-ness. XDDDDD

Also, I have been looking at lots of SCawaii lately, and really like the Bohemian, ethnic, kind of Urban Outfitters look that’s gaining a lot of steam. (filling up my tumblr by posting up these kinds of things. LOL)

So, I put together something inspired by that last night. Although- not ready for a dress/long skirt just yet. LOLOLOLOL. (UNLESS IT’S LOLITA)

It Ends- HPDHpt.2

Yesterday I finally saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows-part 2, after a week since it’s release.

Just get it out there- I’m a Potterhead. My Tumblr page of the late has definitely been more than 50% Harry Potter related material- maybe I need to apologize to some of you for that reason, maybe I don’t. XD

But since it is “the end”, I feel it’s necessary to put in a little bit of background history as to how I came to be a big Harry Potter fan.

Back in in the 90’s (lol- late 90’s), I used to read a LOT. I was one of those kids who read past my grade level, and liked looking at those book catalogues they handed out in primary school. When I first heard about Harry Potter, I thought the story was stupid, and didn’t want to read it. I think when the second book came out, my mum brought home the first and the second, and I was all “AWW! Why’d you buy those stupid ol’ books?! I’m not going to read them.” Well, I ended up giving it a shot once I heard some feedback from my schoolmates, and loved it. Turned me into one of those kids who wanted to go to the following book release parties, read the book in a day or two, and all around wanted the Harry Potter world to be real. I’d sit around for hours on the computer on the official Harry Potter website and get sorted into houses, choose my wand, and play quidditch.

I too wanted to be a Gryffindor like Harry, but I’d always get sorted into Slytherin, and then be angry because that was the direct opposite of what I wanted.

(As I got older, I canned Gryffindor and began to fancy myself as a Ravenclaw, because Gryffindor was overrated, and I liked Ravenclaw’s colors better. Plus, who wouldn’t want their common room in a tower?! Sounds badass! Still getting Slytherin on my house tests though- what’s up with this?! Then I got olderr (lol) and became more accepting of my Slytherin nature- I’m just a natural born Slytherin. )

When it was announced the first movie was in the works, I was super excited. Couldn’t wait to see the characters I was fond of be acted out, because it made the wizarding world that much more real. Finally when the movie came out, I can say I was definitely pissed off. LOL. Harry’s eyes weren’t green, his scar wasn’t in the middle of his forehead, etc, etc. Then I got over it, and became attached to those as well. Because I had been such a big fan, this whole final film has been a real downer for me, and what was especially depressing was now that I’ve acknowledged my Potterheadness- it’s over, and can never go to a midnight premier dressed up. ;____; And the fact that some people who weren’t even into the whole thing were going to the midnight screening, and they didn’t deserve it, and I hate them, etc, etc. /rage *le sigh* Well, at least there’s Harry Potter day at Disneyland. 8P

TL;DR- When the first HP novels came out, I thought they were dumb, then read it and loved it, then didn’t like the first movie because of the inaccuracies, then loved them. AKA I’M A POTTERHEAD.

So, yeah, finally saw the movie yesterday- had been saying I was going to cry because of how everything turns out, and because it’s over. Ended up not crying at all- even in the parts I thought I would (blackheart Slytherin (j/k))My original plan was to dress up as a Slytherin student- kind of like a female Draco- had ordered a Slytherin cardigan via my friend. Didn’t end up coming in time, so I went with a gothic, female Draco- maybe a modern day death eater??? XD

Too bad I don’t have any green plugs. :<

House Pride nails!!! The transition from emerald to the blue green is muuuuuchhh more subtle in person it looks more like an emerald->pine green if you were to look at my nails as opposed to the picture. I reallyyyy like them though~!

Finally, I wanted to show those who are interested in seeing what house they would be in, some, imo, good quality tests. ex. No ‘What would you do if you found someone’s wallet?’ a1.- obvious Gryffindor answer, a2.- obvious Hufflepuff answer, a3.- obvious Ravenclaw answer, a4.- obvious Slytherin answer.

The wig is nice, the fibers are soft, it’s not overly shiny and cheap looking considering the price. It’s also made with high temp. fibers, so it can be styled with heating appliances "up to 108 F/82 C”. So, why am I giving it a less than perfect score?? I don’t know if the wig itself is defective, or that’s just how they make their wigs- but the “roots” of the wig in some spots are all frazzled looking.

It feels like.... over processed hair? To be honest, I really can’t explain it. But I can say it feels/ looks like when I used to have my hair blonde, and I was straightening my hair once, and the straightener totally burned the crap out of my hair, and the ends totally became all frazzled/scraggly/ mangy like that! XD

As long as you don’t go digging through it like that- you’ll be fine. Though, I noticed it by flattening out the top- and I felt it through all the hair covering it.

But as you can see- look wise, it looks perfect.

AM2 and AX review!

First of all- Happy 4th to my fellow Americans!

Waaaaahhh- they were so fun.

These past couple of days have been pretty much consisting of getting up early to get dressed and get to the cons early, and then going to sleep “late”, which has been very different that my current sleep style of the late (which is like- 3am~12pm). The night before Day 1, I tried to go to sleep around 11:45, I think, but I couldn’t stop thinking! My brain just wouldn’t shut up! I think I finally went to sleep around 2am, kind of aggravated that it took so long, and that I would more than likely look and feel like shit because of the lack of sleep.

DAY 1- AM2

Woke up at 6:30am via my cell alarm. For the most part, waking up is pretty okay because I have energy/anxiety to get ready. Definitely a lot of anxiety for this day, because it’s pretty much SADIE/jrock day.

Wanted to show you my face in the makeup process- because I found it incredibly hilarious.

Eye makeup done- still no eyebrows(yet). XDDD

Around 8am, Midori got to my house, and around 9:40am we left to ACC. I think we got their around 10, and then we picked up our badges, and then headed straight for the Sadie panel line. There pretty much wasn’t anyone there- so Midori and I went to the bathroom to fix hair that got messed up from the heat, and otherwise kill time.

Then, when we get out- HUGE line for Sadie. WTF. And apparently they gave out priority tickets for people that got their early, which negates their whole spiel about “passport holders get in first” bollux. :/

I think this was my biggest disappointment with the con- it’s like having it really didn’t have any benefits at all.

The panel itself was fun, even though we were a few rows back (probably like 5 or 6), I had a pretty good spot in an end row seat. All the guys are really cool.

Mizuki- I’m going to say the most talkative and friendly (though he always takes on that persona in vids- so it can be said that’s just his nature)

Aki- the mysterious, stoic, silent type, but also has the best English.

Mao- the small one with the big voice (I think he was the loudest out of all three, but he did seem kind of quiet, until it was his ‘turn’ to speak)

Tsurugi- CRAZY BOY (inside joke)- but he’s “shy” too. XD

Kei- the funny man.

Before the fan questions started, the translator told us she asked the guys if there were any questions or types of questions they would not answer, but she said they were okay with everything, and we all started laughing- and she did too.

Some memorable questions were ‘What’s your favorite English word?’ Mizuki’s was ‘FUCK’, Aki’s was ‘Kiss’, Tsurugi’s was ‘CRAZY BOY’ (which he then referred himself as, and we started to do as well for the rest of the day/night), and Kei’s was ‘Nips’. LOL.

‘Out of all 5 members, who has the best body?’

They all kind of looked around, I don’t think there was a real answer, but I think Tsurugi picked himself, because he stood up and started doing a strip tease by lifting up his shirt. XDD

And then someone yelled out for more, and he said “After”. XD

‘If you could be any animal, what would you be?’

Mizuki- DOG, Aki- snake, Mao- Monkey, Tsurugi- CRAZY DOG, Kei- TIGERRR- and after he said that, He and Mao started a back and fourth bantering of “HADOUKEN!” (Mao) “ SHORYUKEN!” (Kei) from Street Fighter, in very Street Fighter- manly voices, and that went on for a while, and then everyone busted up laughing. XDD It was great. I’m sure the question that was burned into everyone’s mind, and the girl that was asked was henceforth hated by everyone was

‘Can I have a hug?’

Since it was the end of the panel, the translator said ‘only one person’ and then the stupid girl took forever to pick someone, but before that was really stubborn about it- she wanted all of them, was told no, told to pick one person, then asked for a group hug, told no again, and told again to pick one person because we were running out of time, then finally picked Aki, and goes up to the stage all stupidly shy like some dumb school girl or some shit. UGH. What a piss off. XD It was so funny though, because the guys were all looking at each other before she picked Aki, and pointing at each other like ‘you go! no, you go!’ ROFL. I’m pretty sure Mizuki was going to do it, but she ended up picking Aki. LOL

If you went to a Sadie panel, and could hug only one member, who would you pick?

That’s a really tough question, and I don’t blame her for taking a while to pick- I know I would probably freeze up on it too. For me, it would probably fall between Mao and Tsurugi. When I first started listening to Sadie, Mao was my favorite member. As for Tsurugi, when Crimson Tear came out (aka the worst pv ever for one of their coolest songs), I have loved Tsurugi’s hair. LOLOLOL What a silly reason, but yes, when the shots of his hair came out before the PV, I loved his hair, and wanted to style mine exactly like it. Besides that though, based off of what I now know, and how he acted at that panel, I would hug him cause he’s just fun.

In the last couple of minutes in the panel, the translator said they were going to do an autograph session at 1:30 in the exhibit hall, and one at 10:30am the day after. Since I knew it was about 1, we pretty much jetted out the door into the exhibit hall to get our sigs. When we finally found the line, apparently you needed to get your passport stamped (which is why everyone else took so long to get out), but we were still let in because we said we did go to the panel when asked. So we got in line, and Midori didn’t have anything they could sign, so she went to go get an autograph board from Copic. When I saw her’s, and my sister told me the price ($2.50), I wanted one too (cause I really didn’t want them to use the “sign” pages in the passport, so she went and got me one. After maybe 10 minutes, the line started moving, one of their staff went and filmed the line, I saw my friend from high school who had just gotten something signed, and she’s basically all OMG OMG- YOU CAN TALK TO THEM.

So we finally get up there, and the order is from right to left- Mizuki<-Aki<-Mao<-Tsurugi<- Kei. Midori was saying how I should tell them to put my name, when I jus wanted them to put their names, and then ‘Sadie’, and I was like ‘okay, sure’ so I tell Kei when I get up their can he please write my name and Sadie, Kei said ‘in katakana?’ and I’m like ‘sure’, and then I had to spell it out, lol- I think in spelling it out, he forgot to write Sadie? XDD I thanked him, two handed shake, and gave my board to Tsurugi. Since Tsurugi was right there, he heard me, and he’s like OH, You speak Japanese? You’re really good!’ and I’m like NO!! I’m bad! (it’s polite to decline compliments, even when it could be true.) And he said my hair/ outfit was cool, then he signed my board, but wanted to put crazy boy (lol), but didn’t know how to spell it, so I had to spell it out for him on a side piece of paper. When I got to ‘z’, he heard ‘g’, and said ‘z!’ so then he kind of gave me his marker, and I finish writing it upside down. XDDD My hand was all shaking and shit from nerves, plus my brain just wasn’t functioning properly on how the letters look like upside down. XD So he had already wrote ‘Crag’ and I had to write ‘zy’ and then after I finished I said it was good, but no ‘g’, and I covered it up with my finger- so he copied it down right. We laughed, and I thanked him, and we did a two handed shake, and then I moved on to Mao. Same thing goes for Mao as it did with Tsurugi- he heard me speaking Japanese and told me I was really good, and asked my where I studied, and I said college, and he’s like Japan? and I said college again, and he’s like Tokyo? and then I had to say my whole school name in Japanese, which is super long and intense sounding, so he’s like WOAA- SUGOI. I laughed. XD He then said see you tonight! I said yes, thanked him, two handed shake, and moved on to Aki. To tell you the truth I don’t remember if I said anything to Aki, all I remember is hi, and thanking him, and shaking hands. I might have said more, of he might have said more, but I don’t remember- I feel like it was too long ago. ;____;

Onto Mizuki! First thing, He says KONNICHIWA! And I laughingly reply because his enthusiasm kind of surprised me. XD Then he points to my piercing and says ITAI ITAI ITAI ITAI, (painful)- this coming from the one other guy who has kept his facial piercing besides Aki’s chain. XD I laugh and tell him no,no no, no! And he says okay like he’s done joking with me, and signs my board. I thank him, and we shake hands, and I walk away towards my sister who was waiting. This guy asks to take photos, he takes photos of just me, and after says he wants some of all three of us, but Midori’s occupied, because now these people that were filming certain people wanted to talk to her, and then she wants me to come over too, then were filmed by this Japanese crew. The last question was kind of a trip question ‘What’s you new favorite vk band?’ I don’t know if they meant new to us, or new to the scene, either way, I/we fucked up. So yay for us making asses of ourselves and saying D which is definitely NOT a new band. ROFL *is shot*

Then Midori told me she did actually one of them if they were going to Disneyland- she asked Mizuki, and he said he really wanted to, and he was trying to get a day off from their schedule (I hope they were able to go!).

After that we went to take Purikura,

And then went to go get lunch from my car because we were all hungry, which we had to eat pretty fast cause the fashion show was going to start.

It was really cool! I tried to take pictures, but I couldn’t get any good shots because of these guys in front of me.

Heidi was also good, but for some reason the staff wouldn’t let us stand up? Unless that was because some people rushed the stage. After maybe 3 songs to go put all our stuff back in the car, and then to go get in line for the Sadie meet and Greet.

Again, passport priority did not apply here. :p And in then end we didn’t get to see them because they were letting about 10 people in at a time for Sadie and for KanonxKanon, and they got to talk 15 minutes to the group, and the event was 6-7. SO that was PRETTY much shit. Especially since we would’ve been the next group. Staff said ‘oh, it’s only an hour event and they have to go get ready for their show- you’ll see them there’ And then they ended up being an hour late or something for the show, which was supposed to start at 8, but didn’t till sometime past 9pm. Makes me wonder now if they were finishing up that line. That would be fucked up if they did, cause we were one of the first people that left. :p

Well, at least I got a picture taken by Cure. lol. I was getting up to spit my gum out, and this girl approaches me and asks if I want my picture taken for Cure. After I’m done, she asks me to ask Midori, so I walk over and tell her to go over, and my sister tells me when she was over there that she said ‘Why didn’t they ask me to take my picture?’ LOL So if all works out well, then maybe we’ll be in their August issue.

The show was great! Besides these girls (which one was a maid from the cafe) who were next to me that wouldn’t stop talking! It wasn’t an ‘Oh, this is great!’ one line thing- it was an actual fucking conversation during each song. And laughing and ‘OMG’ when we would all headbang, or growl and scream.

FOR REAL- if you aren’t there to appreciate the music or be optimistic about, then don’t fucking come! Cause you’re ruining the experience for some people who are actually trying to enjoy themselves with your constant yammering! About the 6th song in- I gave them a pretty long time stop- I tapped the girl next to me and said ‘Can you guys quit talking? Cause it’s really distracting.’ and she said sorry, and they stopped talking for the rest of the show.

After the show, we were asked to do a video for Sadie- how we like the show, and if we have a message for them. We both said it was fun and cool- and after we were done and leaving, I was like FUCK- WE SHOULD HAVE SAID WE HOPE THEY PLAY HERE AGAIN. OR THANKS. *shoots self*

When we got home, Midori was showing me her board, and I was like WTH, YOU GOT THEM TO WRITE SADIE (of course) and she’s all TEEHEE. But on her’s Tsurugi spelt crazy boy wrong. LOL It had a ‘g’ that was scribbled out. I LOL’D heartily. Like ‘HAHA- THAT WAS MY DOING.’ XD

All in all- besides a few negative things, Am2 day 1 was awesome.

DAY 2- AX

The next day, we left around 12ish to get to AX. My sister and I decided not to go to Am2, cause neither of us were really interested in KanonxKanon, and I was interested in the Heidi, Gashicon, and Sixh. panel, but I decided not to go. When we got into L.A. I think the size of AX vs. Am2 was apparent for first time AX con goer Midori, as pretty much all of LACC’s parking lots were full, and just turning onto a different street takes forever with the flood of cosplayers crossing the street. We had to park in the separate one at the end of where where it loops around when you wait in line for pre-reg (I think it’s call the Venice parking lot, not sure though). For some reason, there was a huge ass line for pre-reg despite it Day 1, and despite lots of people usually going to Day 0 to pick up their badge. Luckily, we didn’t have to pick up our badges, just meet up with Mandie in the South Hall down by the Toyota Corolla that all jazzed up with a Hatsune Miku decal, and a cosplayer posing next to her (I think she was hired by Toyota, not sure). But we met up with Mandie, got our badges, and went into the exhibit hall, which also was jam packed. Pretty much everything was anime, besides the H.Naoto booth, which seems to travel around to different cons (not exactly where the they are from, but I’m sure they are not from Japan).

.... There pretty much was nothing to do. We sat around doing nothing for a while, went back to the dealer’s hall, then went to go see Pop Shock Masquerade, which, is seriously using it’s original values. :/

It used to be all about Alternative stuff like VK, gothic lolita, goth, punk- stuff like that- and now it’s pretty much pop shit with a sprinkling of VK- (there was a D pair doing Asagi and Tsunehito from Ouka Saki Some ni Keri PV, and a Mana- Malice Mizer cosplayer). So disappointing. I told Midori when we were leaving to go back to get stuff from the car that back when the convention was at ACC, it used to be all VK stuff.

outfit- decided to go casual.

Around 7:30pm we were outside of Club Nokia waiting to get into Tune in Tokyo’s set up spot. Around 8, we finally got into the VIP area, and started getting ready.

I had lots of fun! All the other models were great, as was everyone who brought the event together.

After the fashion show was over, we left home, as we all were pretty tired, and I think climbing 6 flights of stairs got to our heads- well Midori’s at least- she thought me carrying all of our shit was so funny. XD

DAY 3- AM2

I dressed up gothic lolita on day 3. There was a contest at the Bunraku screening, and I figured I might as well participate.

We got there around 12pm and went straight to the dealer’s hall. I got Sadie’s towel, we went to the H.Naoto booth, and both Ibi and Mint were there hanging out. I asked Mint if I could take a photo, he said photos are not allowed. AW. Oh wells. Walked around a bit more- I bought a Yoko’s (Gurren Laggan) skull hair clip from Amé Hoshi- took purikura-

Played some of the games, listend to some of the summer festival music, then when we decided to walk around a bit more, we were approached by someone from Jrock Revolution about the contest, I said we were planning on going, just not yet, then asked if he thought we should go now. Basically, yes, so we went up to the line. Got lots of pics taken. I was picked as a finalist for the contest, didn’t win, but I accept it because the girl’s outfit that did win was awesome!

The movie was good! It was written kind of like an asian western. Cheesy, comic-book like, but it worked considering it’s based of a play with puppets. I recommend seeing it if you like kind of Quentin Tarantino style films, and of course if you like Gackt!

After the movie we left, and on our way to the parking lot, we got asked for photos for POPJNEO. :]

All in all a good day- and a good 3 days.

On modeling, a show, pie, and AM2 and AX!

EXCITEMENT, I HAS IT.

Earlier today/yesterday/Sunday, Anime Expo posted a “4 more days till AX!!” which means 4 more days till AM2, and SADIE!! 8D

I am so excited! Though, to be honest, the other day when we went to this beach festival I told my sister that I feel scared/stressed about getting dressed up, because to be completely honest, I feel like I’ve lost my touch (if I ever had it. XD). I have been thinking/stressing about what I’m going to wear for Day 1- last night I was trying to put some stuff together on a hanger, and I was just like 'UGH- I’VE WORN SOMETHING LIKE THIS- I CAN’T WEAR THIS- IT’LL BE TOO HOT'- blahblahblahblah... It doesn’t help that every time I style my hair, I feel like I fail miserably. BUT as of earlier today/yesterday/sunday (lol), I have my outfit in mind and ready! If I had to describe it in one sentence, it would be:

UH- What have I been doing....? Pretty much nothing- I take pictures when I go out of things I want to share, but I’m not very good at posting when I should anymore. lol

Early June was my sister’s birthday, and we went to Marie Calendar’s (we’re all signed up for that birthday club, thing). So when it’s the month your birthday falls in, they send you a card and your bill is lower by a certain percent, and everyone who ordered an entree gets a free slice of pie. They had Boston Creme Pie, and so my mom decided to eat that at the restaurant, and I took mine home- but OMG. IT WAS. FARCKING. GINORMOUS.

The ......18th? *checks calendar* YEAH- the 18th I went with Midori to Hot Topic HollywoodxHighland center to see the Black Veil Brides- a meet&greet and a free show. You had to pre-order their new album ‘Set the World on Fire’, and then you got a wristband which got you into the meet&greet/ signing.

UHHH- what can I say about that... we got their at 3 maybe, it started at 5, there was a HUGE ass line with, I’d say, and I kid you not, the average age of the fans was around 14. XD

OMG. SO. MANY. KIDS.

And their all like nutters! ‘I WANT TO MARRY SO AND SO’

WTF. Are you trying to send them to jail?! ROFL.

All around just creepy fangirls, way worse than jrock fangirls.

As far as I know, when we see our boys, we’re all KYAA! take pictures, be happy, smile, wave, etc. nothing to crazy...

THESE CHICKS WERE LIKE RUNNING AFTER THEM AND OTHER GENERAL OTT SHIT.

Anyway, we meet ‘em, got our CD’s signed. My impressions of them... em. I think they’re dedicated and all, but they seemed pretty distant. I think the whole week before then they were going to other Hot Topic locations and doing meet&greets, so I think they were probably pretty pooped, that and a friend had said the fact that their fanbase is so young, and acts like that ^, it’s probably really turn-offish- not in a sexual way, of course.

You were only allowed to get one thing signed, a worker would take your item, give it to the first member, and slide it down the table. They didn’t really smile, or say thanks, so yeah, it was pretty distant. The only one who I felt was really genuinely into seeing everybody was probably Andy Sixx/ Biersack, which I understand because he’s put a lot of work into this band, which I assume is probably like a child to him, but also like the message he puts out to his fans- I really think he enjoys meeting the misfits that look up to him as a person that really encourages them to be themselves and not give a shit about what people think. Definitely good vibes from him. esp. when he’s like hey! see you after at at the show!

So after that, we headed downstairs to the court where they had a stage all set up, and waited till around 8:30pm when they started playing.

I was- 1 person away from the front, but the crowd was super intense for being a bunch of creepy girls. XD

Definitely not as intense as a Metallica, Rammstein, or A7X crowd, but still pretty intense.

You may have heard that Andy shattered 3 of his ribs here, and yeah, that was intense too. So here’s what happened- The stage is set up in the court, if you know the mall, the stage was underneath the bridges facing north before California Pizza Kitchen, and it’s blocking that whole entry way, and then their’s like crates and amps around. So, about the third song in, Andy decides he wants to go climbing...

He goes from the stage to that ledge thing to the left of that bald security guard, to something else I didn’t see, to that higher ledge on the opposite, and then finally to the highest ledge, as you can see him doing in the picture.

As soon as he got up there, I’m not kidding, I thought in my head ‘Yeah, that’s cool and all, but how the fuck are you going to get down now, genius?’

He was up their for a few minutes, so I look back at the stage and then back to him. To tell you the truth, I didn’t really know what happened, even when I saw it happening. I saw him jump, I saw him hit the side opposite side of the wall (which is like marble, btw), and then I saw black hair go down- aka him falling backwards onto the ground. My face was like. 8O And I was mouthing ‘OMG’ and I was thinking 'NU-UH, NU-UH!’ and when I saw he didn’t instantly get back up, and there was no singing, I said to myself HE BROKE SOMETHING- His face, his leg, arm, something- he broke SOMETHING. (like I said, couldn’t really see anything, but from the angle I was at, it looked like he nailed his face against the wall) When he fell backwards, the security instantly reacted, the bald one was like OH SHIT, but he couldn’t get around to go help cause that wall, and then the other ones on the opposite side ran to go check him out, everybody is all looking over to see what happened- which I’m fairly positive the general feeling was shock. The band was still playing, but they were still looking over too. I can’t see anything, but I see Jeffree Star go over from behind the stage, and I see him looking down at Andy, whom I can’t see, look back at someone behind the stage, and I see him mouthing OH MY GOD. After about 5 minutes maybe, they got him back up, and he went back on stage after the song had ended, and said something like ‘I think I just fucking broke my ribs or something from that fall, but I’m going to keep on going’. So they kept on going, and ended up playing longer than the 30 minutes they were supposed to play. As soon as it was over, they pretty much all jetted off, I assumed to get Andy to a hospital.

When I was was driving back, I was still saying ‘no way!’ to Midori, like still in disbelief that he even attempted doing what he did. Afterwards I got online and was checking like their twitters and stuff, still no updates. I think the day after in the morning I checked again to see what happened, and he had made a tweet saying he shattered 3 ribs. Then I found some vids on youtube, which was when I finally saw what actually happened- but apparently he sat down on that high ledge, stuck one foot out, the other pressed against the wall and tried to boost himself from the wall to the other side, and like grab the other side. So, not enough momentum or something, cause with that, imo, you would need to have your waist up to be able to be able to hoist yourself up- and he landed straight on his ribs, right to the ledge. :/

Overall, my whole outlook on just that incident is a mix of shock, disbelief, and kind of shame. Like, that is/was SOO STUPID. GEEZ. WHY THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT?!

As for the show, it was cool, but about the second to the last song, I got fed up with the crowd and being choked with this guy’s arm/elbow in my neck on the right, and to the left this girls arm/shoulder in my ear/ fucking with my lobes- plush general pushing from behind. When you have big plugs, you’ll understand- you don’t want people fucking with your lobes- plus my plugs are made of glass, and I didn’t want them to falling out and shattering. So, I said fuck this, I’m not a big enough fan to find it worth getting fucked around like this, so I got out of there. They ended I think around 9:40ish, and then we left around 10.

Eyebrows, Eyebrows, Eyebrows!

I’ve been growing out my eyebrows for the past couple weeks that I’ve been on summer vacation- not intentionally, just too lazy to maintain a less than full eyebrow.

For a while I have been meaning to get eyebrow mascara, just so I don’t have black hair sticking out of my light brows when I wear my blonde wig. WELL, I finally went to Mitsuwa, and I finally got some!

The top is a liner you can twist out, and the bottom is the actual mascara. This color is light brown- which is actually the lightest they had, even though I’ve see lighter colors before (I know Diamond Beauty- aka Diamond Lash makes a blonde colored one, but I bet you could only find that in Japan).

Then I put together an outfit that was like- hippy-ish. XD

Hahaha- later on when my mom came home, she said: “I like you with eyebrows (as opposed to jrock eyebrows)- now you need to get rid of those big holes in your ears.” XDDD

And I said NO. I need to be 'weird’ someway!

A few days before I even planned to go to Mitsuwa, but I came in and asked my mom if she liked my eyebrows because they started looking noticeably fuller, and because I have been looking to get a job, she said something like- ‘You need to grow eyebrows because there is a certain look employers want in their employees and you don’t fit it.’ ROFL

THE MAN ALWAYS GOTTA STICK IT TO YOU.

One can get hired if they have weird eyebrows, but it’s always a whole different can of ~~shit~~ worms when you have stretched ears. :P

And because I like to be as helpful as possible, reviewing stuff, and trying things out, I wanted to try covering my brows and re-drawing them in ~~crazy~~ in a different style.

What did I do???

As you can see- you can still see some hair- but they are pretty much gone besides that. I think there is hair sticking out because I trim the hair, and so it sticks up out of the glue and makeup. So I think if you don’t trim your brow hair, it will probably look better.

Just make sure, you know, your not allergic to the glue before you put it on your face. XD Test it out on your hand or something. I used the ‘Avery- Permanent Glue Stick’,

So I did 3 coats of glue, letting it dry completely (around 5 minutes) in between each coat, and then after the last before you put your foundation on. I found that the best way to apply your foundation is with your fingers as opposed to a foundation brush.

Eyebrow drawn- YEH- I wanted something pretty extreme. Back when I first started dressing VK, I always wanted eyebrows like this, and I kind of did, but I think these were more drastic than what I had.

Will I do it again- more than likely yes- I want to see how it will look when the hair has grown longer, if it covers easier, see what it looks like when the foundation is applied with a sponge, and see what it looks like with a powder over/ better powder- cause the one I’m using now SUCKS. Also, removing is pretty easy- all you gotta do is wash off with soap and warm water!

Last weekend I went to the Petsmart where my friends got him, asked them if they have a place they donate their fish when they get too big and no one is buying them, and the guy I talked to said he didn’t know of any place, but he suggested a fish store I’ve seen/ walked by but never been in, and we went over there and they said they would take him!

So he’s now living there- the owner said when we asked if they could take him that his tank was too small, and that he would start getting suicidal. And he’s still a baby, etc. Later I made the connection- OMG, HOW SAD- THIS BABY IS SUICIDAL. Because he did jump out of the bucket I had him in once when I was cleaning his tank, and every now and then he would jump and hit the lid of the tank.

Now he has plenty of room to swim, and has friends (Too bad he’s kinda skittish). XD

AM2- Everyday Visual Kei So. Cal Meet-Up Feeler post

OKAY- So many people are heading over to AM2 for obvious reasons, one being the big lineup catering to us jrock lovers. So before I make it an "official meet-up”, I wanted to ask a couple of questions before setting everything up.
Q.1-What day would you like the meet-up to be on?
Q. 2-What time would you like to meet up? If you prefer the meet-up to be on Friday- Would you prefer it in the morning before the Fashion show, or after the Fashion Show/ Heidi concert?

Q.3-Do you prefer a meet-up that is maybe an hour or two long, or a day long hangout?
Q.4-Do you prefer a meet-up that stays on ACC grounds, or would you like to go to different places? There are a lot of places nearby, one being Downtown Disney and Disneyland itself. We could walk around Downtown Disney, or maybe eat there.

THAT’S RIGHT- I DID.

And I really have no excuse as to why I haven’t been posting more. LOL Recently, I’ve just been sleeping in- doing jack shit, sometimes gaming, sometimes not, staying up late to watch Craig Ferguson, go to sleep, wake up at 12:30pm- begin cycle again. I’m starting to think now it’s going to be more so like this because now I’m blocked out, so no more Disneyland till August (BOOOOOOOO D;), and my life sucks, etc. etc.

I’ve been looking to acquire a job- but no luck. Trying to find a pond for Kyo to move into- no luck either. Meh- I don’t want to sound all depressing, so off this melancholy crap.

Last Tuesday was my last say of Disneyland before getting blocked out for the summer (well, actually this tuesday was, but I didn’t go. :p). The day before, I asked Anya if she was ditching class so we could go, cause I ~~always~~ sometimes ditched class, (LOL), but she didn’t, so we left after she got back.

IT WAS A DAY OF DISCOVERING, TO SAY THE LEAST. LOL

She wanted to try the Bengal Barbecue (place across from Indiana Jones), cause she thought it would be cheap, and good since it’s always crowded....

OH BOY, EXACT OPPOSITE. XD

I think it was like.... $23? And all we got was 2 skewers each (which are maybe 5” long), and 2 water bottles. She got chicken in like a sweet sauce, and I got the Banyan Beef, I believe......

I HATE to hate Disneyland, BUT OMG- IT WAS SO GROSS. THERE. THE TRUTH IS OUT.

It’s supposed to be a spicy sauce, but it wasn’t at all- and it was just... off tasting. In all honesty, I don’t know how to describe it. The meat was tough/ chewy, and even if you were to take off the sauce, you could tell the meat had been marinating in the sauce. I ate one skewer, begrudgingly, gave the second to Anya- she didn’t like it either, so I tossed it. Sometime in between when I gave it to her, and before I tossed it, she called it BUSH MEAT.

BUSH MEAT.

AND I SWEAR I felt like I was going to hurl.

Needless to say- I don’t recommend that place! Usually, we go to Pizza Port, and you get a lot more, for the same price, and it tastes A HELL OF A LOT BETTER.

Feeling pretty shitty about waisting my money, I got a Dole float.

It’s about a 15~20 minute wait to get one of these, and it’s on the Disney bucket list of things to do Disneyland related before you die. To be honest- I wasn’t that impressed by it either. ROFL. I kind of feel like the quality of food has gone down since I was a kid. And it’s not like Disney doesn’t make enough money to serve good food! Back when I was a kid (cue the old lady voice), they used to serve these in a cored pineapple- and it was all kinds of delicious, now you can tell it’s made out of canned pineapple juice. :p So it was alright. When we were in line, I was talking about that- the quality of food going down- and they’re really getting rid of all the good stuff (like the pineapple cup! LOL)! There used to be this window that you would walk up to in the New Orleans quarter, kind of next to Pirates/ where you can get the soup bowls- And you used to be able to order these virgin margaritas in these tall plastic glasses, and they were SO FLIPPING DERICIOUS (I’ll show you the glass later if we still have some).

Rammstein and Lolita

It sounds almost like I saw Rammstein in lolita- OH, WOULDN’T THAT BE THE MOST HILARIOUS SIGHT.

Actually, it wouldn’t be too bad, I just imagine these terrible things happening if you did, like someone spilling beer on your brand (cue me going ape shit). XD

ANYWAYS-

The show was AWESOME, of course. My only real disappointment with the show was A.) I couldn’t see shit (clearly) because of seating (Next time around, I’m buying a ticket the MOTHER F*CKING SECOND THEY GO ON SALE). and B.) It ended WAY too early. XD

Also, not really a problem with the show, but the guys were on Jimmy Kimmel (whose show is filmed in Hollywood) the day before, and that just made me mad that I could’ve seen them twice, in a more private area.

Right after I finished my last blog entry, I got off the computer, did my hair, got dressed, all that jazz, and we were dropped of at the Forum around 7:30pm. I live literally down the street from the Forum, granted, it’s a few miles down, but it’s still down the street. lol The tickets said the show would start at 8pm, and actually, it started around 7:57pm, with Combichrist going straight into ‘Just Like Me’.

I thought they were pretty awesome, but then I went back and listened to those songs studio-recorded...... WAY. BETTER. LIVE. In the studio versions, the singer is “singing” , but live- it’s all screaming, and it sounded so much better. The only songs that are okay studio recorded- in my opinion- are ‘Follow the Trail of Blood’ and ‘Fuck that Shit’.

Combichrist ended around 9, the singer introducing Rammstein made everyone go bonkers, even though we had to wait around another 10 minutes for them to get on.

This guy has pretty decent quality vids from the show- and he recorded all the songs (Combichrist and Rammstein)! (Reliving/ watching since I didn’t get to see the show this close. T____T)

The day after, I was bored, and I dressed up in a sweet lolita style. I was thinking how I used to dress up all the time when I was bored, and how I have really altogether stopped doing that. LOL So this was kind of a restart of that.

I’m not shitting you, it was seriously like a balloon silhouette. ROFL

The bunny kind of squished it. And I have yet to name him. Ideas???

Then I dressed up again the day after (I think) in like a mori-esque lolita style. LOLOLOL

The hair should be more..... fro-y for mori style. :p

Wow- I have so much stuff I have been meaning to upload that I haven’t. You know how I was saying I will have some food related stuff... I have A LOT of food related pics. ROFL.

Alright, I need to start, cause I’m pressed for time. Gotta get ready for Rammstein.

First, nail related stuff. For some reason, I took a picture of the acetone swab, cause it looked like a face. :p

Snack time- After school a couple of weeks ago, I wanted to eat something junky. I discovered this combo.... in the beginning of senior year when I would go over to my friend’s house after school (we didn’t have a 6th period, so we left early), and we would occasionally stop at Seven Eleven to get some snacks. ANYWAYS. One time we got popcorn and the Frito Lays BBQ Twists, and I combined them, and it was pretty darn good. So I made that again (2 years later). lol

Got your chips- These are the small lunch sized bags (the only size they sell in the art store on campus), otherwise you would use the regular Seven Eleven sized bag.

Pop your popcorn- I use the smart pop, just because it’s not as salty because I don’t eat salty food.

Pour the chips in when the popcorn is ready, and shake it up!!! You’ll need to take some of the popcorn out of the bag to mix it up good.

All done!

The Mocha Sundae~ 83

Mocha ice cream with chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, whipped cream and a cherry on top in a waffle cone! $5.49. It is pretty ginormous. You are going to have to share it with someone. LOL

On the 3rd I went to Disneyland with Anya. I WAS going to go to class like a good student, but I was hella late, and she walked in coming back from school around 9:30 (my first class started at 10:00am), and she was like “Oh, you’re here. Are you ditching? Are we going to Disneyland?!” And said noooo...... and then I started thinking about it...... and then I was like FUCK IT. LET’S GO. LMAO.

It was pretty hot- I think like 92? Not to mention Disneyland is inland, so no sea breeze unlike where I live. D: Also, there were a lot of internationals. Saw/ heard some English people. There were A LOT of English people. Then we saw a CUTE Japanese gal-gyaruo couple. SO CUTE. Wanted to take a snealy picture of them, cause they were dressed so cute, but SO not hot weather appropriate, but I didn’t get to. OH WELLS.

It was good! I was expecting it to be a little meh, because of will and Elizabeth weren’t there (even though I never really cared about either of the characters), but it was really good without them! XD

Driving back-

Friday, Anya and I went with Midori to 3rd street in SanMo. I styled my hair.

I bought this shirt and these shorts at Forever21.

It’s more like a charcoal color- I’d say like a 4B pencil. (LOL)

They’re a little big, but I thought they would be perfect with boystyle outfits. Tell me they aren’t totally AATP looking.

Right now I noticed some idget sewed all the buttons (other than this one) upside down. XD Gotta go fix that later.

Saturday last weekend I went with my friends to a car show in El Segundo. Big rockabilly turn-out. I told my friend (who is into the style, and psychobilly as well) that as an outsiders point of view, ‘you guys are pretty crazy!’ XD Only because when some people left, they would speed, hauling ass I might add, in their old cars. XD

Yesterday, I finished my last final, and I came back home and Anya and I took of with Andi to pick up Elliot and then headed to Disneyland!

When we walked in, we found Peter, the Mad Hatter and the White Rabbit playing musical chairs with some kids! It’s funny because we were JUST talking about Peter Pan, and then we see him, and IT’S THE WRONG ONE. LOL. It was baby Peter, and we’ve been trying to find Spieling Peter. XD

Cute Bambi! His head is soooooo big! and his legs are short and stubby! I said he reminded me of a Chihuahua. XD

GEEZ- It’s been so long! I just wanted to do a quick post to let you know I’m still here, and I do feel bad I have been neglecting my blog.

This week (starting tomorrow) is finals week, so since I’m going to be busy studying/ working/cramming etc, I figured I’d put up a quick announcement of sorts type entry to let you guys know I’LL BE WORKING ON A BIG ASS POST come Thursday afternoon, evening, Friday morning, afternoon, evening- sometime around then. I’m going to say PROBABLY Friday afternoon, because I’m PROBABLY going to want to go to Disneyland after my final on Thursday to celebrate the end of the semester. XD

Em... the post will amass a GET post, Disneyland, outfit post, hair, some art, food, and general blogging stuff, ex. maybe I could tell you about the new Pirates movie since I saw it on the 6th, and the day I will post, it will have already have come out! J/K. I won’t spoil it.

Then I’ll post a separate entry on ‘Things to do and places to go in So.Cal/ California this summer/ in general’ guide of things and spots I think any future visitors/ people who are heading over here for summer should hit up!

Getting back to the Disney point I started out with, finally saw the new Tron Friday night, then again last night, and I was looking for Michael Sheen’s name, because I didn’t know it was Michael Sheen at the time, I just knew it was him CAUSE THAT NOSE/PROFILE. Not saying it’s bad- it’s cute, lol. He looks better in Underworld, where he’s all rugged looking. ANYWAY- found my way to the actually Tron: Legacy page, and according to Wikipedia, ElecTRONica is supposed to end in May this year.

WAH- I hope I can see it- I’m hoping they mean the end of May if it is true.

Well- that’s all the blogging I got in me right now- gonna go screw around on Gaia Online, because for some reason unbeknownst to me, I signed in yesterday and I now I’m selling a bunch of shit to get some gold to buy more shit, etc.

Yesterday, I dressed up for a purpose, which I will let you know in the future if all goes well (or not) but here are the pictures I took via Photo Booth, so the blacks all kind of fade in with each other but the outfit is this outfit:

So you’ve seen it before- no big deal.

This hairstyle is so much better, no?? 8D

As you can see, the only different thing I added was the ripped tights.

The rest I took with my camera- Only after I took them did I notice that the setting was on the night setting, so everything is extremely yellow looking. And I’m yellow, just not THAT yellow. XDD

Eyebrow goes up and doesn’t come back down! Like some Final Destination roller coaster or some shit! XD

And this pic I edited the colors very poorly. I got most of the yellow out, as a result though it looks pretty grainy/wonky. OH WELLS.

It looks like my head is shaved on the side, and kind of reminds me of Aggy! Boy do I wish~ but it’s not, and won’t happen (again) cause I want long hair (again), BUT THIS TIME IT WILL HAPPEN. XD

Here are the pictures the photographers/ workers at Disneyland took. They have this program called ‘Photo pass’ which basically is when they take your pictures, they put it on a card and give it to you and you can use it multiple times and keep putting more photos on it. Then you go to the photopass website, put in the card’s number and voila, all your pictures are there! You can choose to edit them or buy prints online, but after 30 days from when you punched in your card number on their website, they pictures are gone. BUUUUTTTTTTTT you can keep on reusing the same card, AND you can use it any park! Nifty, huh?! *fondness of Disneyland grows tenfold*
